Now Daria’s family has chosen to speak out about the difficult time following her death. In a statement, the family writes that they are experiencing “
unimaginable” grief and they ask to be left alone so they can process the loss together.
The family also shares that Daria, whom they lovingly called Dasha, was full of love, joy, and energy. They described her as someone who cared deeply about others.
“Our beloved Daria, our Dasha, was full of love, “She cared deeply for others and brought warmth to the lives of those around her. Her generous spirit and loving heart made her deeply cherished. We will carry her light, her compassion, and the love she gave us in our hearts always.”
At the same time, they share that Daria’s name was made public before the family themselves were ready. They state that journalists subsequently called relatives at all hours, both day and night. The family reportedly had to hire security in order to get the privacy they need.
